Registration has opened for the 10th Annual Virtual Science & Math Summer Academy (SAMSA) hosted by the St. Philip’s College Center of Excellence for Science.

SAMSA offers 11-15-year-olds virtual hands-on activities and virtual field trips focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The activities will provide children with summer enrichment opportunities with an emphasis on high-demand careers such as engineering, biotechnology, game design, alternative energy, chemistry, environmental science and more.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience the new ALEKS Math Software which provides the advantages of one-on-one instruction, 24/7, virtually, from any web-based computer. The ALEKS program pre-tests students and delivers lessons to address math gaps allowing the software to focus on individualized learning outcomes.
